Bolt Action Escalation League!

Owl Central Games & Hobbies is excited to be working with Berks Bolt Action to host our first ever Bolt Action Escalation League!

We’ll be running a three month long marathon of battles to decide who really reigns supreme!

This is a great event for players just entering the Bolt Action hobby to get into competitive play with small starting point totals that increase as we proceed through league play. Flexible times to play, a vibrant community, and awesome prizes will make for an entertaining winter for Bolt Action players!

Players will be fighting for at least $100 in guaranteed prizes, plus more to be added based on attendance!

The league will be divided into three point totals:

September 21st – October 12th = 500 points
October 13th – November 2nd = 750 points
November 3rd – December 1st = 1000 points

…culminating in a League Championship playoff day on December 8th!

– League registration will be open only during the first level (500 points), from September 21st – October 12th.

– Players must play the same Nationality throughout the entire league.

– The first (2) games played during each point level will count for league scoring. There will be extra prizes awarded for games played past the first of each points level!

– You may not play the same player twice at the same point level.

– After you report your first (2) results, you may still play as a “ringer” to help other players complete their games. Again, prizes will be available for excess games played so get in as many as possible!

– League games must be completed at Owl Central Games & Hobbies. These can be played any day during normal store hours. Score sheets will be available at the main sales counter. Please return score sheets to the front counter after your games, or they won’t be able to be counted!

– Berks Bolt Action Group “ringers” will be available to assist players in completion of their games on: Wednesday evenings, any other Open Play or Demo Day already scheduled, and on one Sunday per points level. Check the appropriate posts on the Owl Central Games Facebook to confirm Escalation League play availability!

League Scoring:

Winning a league game = 3 points

Drawing a league game = 1 point

Completing your first 2 games = 1 point each (2 points per level)

League play will end on December 1st. Based on the number of players that participate in the league, we will host a special Championship playoff on December 8th.

2-8 Players = Top 2 Playoff
9-16 Players = Top 4 Playoff
17+ Players = Top 8 Playoff

We are guaranteeing $100 in total prizes for the league! No matter the amount of entries…but we aren’t stopping there! Every game played during the league will reward a raffle ticket used for our End-of-League drawings for great Warlord prizes. Did you already finish your two league games? Play a bunch more to help people get theirs, and get as many tickets as possible to increase your chances of winning!

Further prizing will be determined by the total number of entries and will be announced at the start of the second league level (October 13th). All entry fees will be used to increase the prize pool.

Army Construction:

1) Points / Order Dice Limits at each level:

– 500 Points / 8 Order Dice Limit
– 750 Points / 12 Order Dice Limit
– 1000 Points / 16 Order Dice Limit

2) 1 Generic Reinforced Platoon

3) No Tank Platoons

4) No Theater Selectors

5) No Special Characters

6) No Planes

7) No Experimental Rules

8) Models do not have to be painted, but MUST be fully assembled

9) No proxies allowed but other correct scale model companies WWII models are allowed (if unsure email the TO). Non-approved models could be removed from the table.

10) Try to be as close to WYSIWYG as possible (if unsure email the TO).
